The Paul James Pfeifer Foundation was created in love, grief, and determination. After losing Paul to a preventable tragedy rooted in gaps in our mental health and justice systems, we made a promise: no one else should be left behind.

We exist to honor Paul’s legacy by affirming the worth of people living with mental illness, advocating for systems that support them with care and dignity, and creating healing spaces grounded in truth and connection.

Our Story

The Paul James Pfeifer Foundation was born from both love and loss. Paul’s life, lived with compassion and creativity, ended too soon due to failures in the systems meant to protect him and others like him. We exist to ensure no one else falls through the cracks.
